Job summary

Responsibilities

• Attends and participates in pre bid conferences to orient and inform bidders as to features, requirements, and special conditions.
• Reviews final plans and specifications for construction feasibility and practical accomplishment, and interprets technical portions for other participants.
• Decides upon suitability of completed work, adequacy of construction equipment, practicability of construction operations, and reasonableness of schedules and estimates.
• Prepares documentation and sketches of contract changes, estimates of costs for modifications, materials, and equipment, evaluating conditions at the work site, field measurements, computations, local prices.
• Reviews correspondence and reports on construction status and progress, tests, administration, and contractor estimates relative to construction, making recommendations on practical methods and adjustments.
