Job summary

WW Clyde is seeking a Project Controls Manager in Orem, Utah, to lead training on budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting. The role focuses on teaching project teams the WW Clyde methods and project controls standards in an office-based setting.

The candidate will develop training materials, manage onboarding, and serve as the SME for project controls. Strong communication and curiosity to learn and teach are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to train, coach, and mentor others in a professional setting.
• Strong knowledge of project financials: budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, and variance analysis.
• Minimum 3 years in project controls, PMO, or related finance/operations roles.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, ERP systems, and project management software; able to learn new platforms quickly.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed and maintain an insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor, and coach field teams on processes, controls, and systems.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing training for project personnel with live instruction and follow-ups.
• Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and process docs.
• Serve as SME on project controls standards and the Project Management Guide.
• Teach and support project financials: budget development, forecasting, reporting, and month-end close.
• Analyze financial reports to identify trends, risks, and coaching opportunities.
• Oversee project setup/closeout processes and create training opportunities.
• Drive adoption of new processes and system implementations.
