Job summary

EPI Power is seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to be stationed on a project in Council Hill, OK. This role supports cost control, scheduling, and documentation on a fast-paced electrical construction site.

You will define WBS, track production rates, manage RFIs and submittals, monitor budgets, and coordinate with subcontractors and stakeholders to keep the project on time and on budget.

Qualifications

  • An industry-related college degree is required or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years construction project management experience.
  • LEAN principles experience is desirable.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Define WBS, establish production standards, measure performance, and implement corrective actions to maintain productivity and schedule adherence.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, commissioning tracking, and site logistics coordination.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, budget, schedule, milestones, and critical paths; monitor performance against targets.
  • Monitor costs and schedules, identify risks and delays, and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Facilitate communication among project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders through meetings and reports.
  • Support quality control and contract administration, maintaining accurate project documentation and compliance with contractual requirements.

EPI Power is looking for an experienced Project Controls Engineer to be located on a project in Council Hill, OK!

What You’ll Do:
  • Track and control project production rates by defining work breakdown structures (WBS), establishing production standards, measuring actual performance, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions to maintain productivity and schedule adherence. Prepare regular reports to communicate trends, progress, and improvement opportunities.
  • Manage project controls functions including RFIs, submittals, change orders, commissioning tracking in Compass, and site logistics coordination to support efficient project execution.
  • Support project planning and execution by collaborating with stakeholders to define scope, budget, schedule, milestones, and critical paths, while monitoring performance against established targets.
  • Monitor and control project costs and schedules, identify risks and potential delays, and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders through regular meetings, reporting, and performance updates.
  • Ensure quality, compliance, and documentation standards are met by supporting quality control processes, maintaining accurate project documentation, and assisting with contract administration and compliance with contractual requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Education:
    • An industry-related college degree is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of three (3) years of construction project management experience is required.
    • LEAN principles experience is desirable.
    • OSHA 10 or 30 preferred, or the willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Skills:
    • Attention to detail, time management, judgment, communication, solid leadership, client relations, negotiation, project management, solid construction knowledge, decision‑making, conflict resolution, tact, adaptable, problem solving, personal initiative and analytical abilities are all necessary skills.
  • Technology:
    • Proficiency in basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Employee should have the ability to learn other software (ex: JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, Asta).
    • Training will be provided on company standards.
