Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is partnering with a growing construction-focused organization to hire a Project Controller in Hanover, MA. You will oversee multiple construction project finances, manage budgets, forecasts, and WIP schedules, and work with project managers to optimize profitability.

The role demands at least 5 years of accounting/finance experience in construction, strong Excel, and collaboration with operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience in construction.
• Experience with WIP reporting, job costing and project accounting.
• Understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong collaboration with project managers and operations teams.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial management of multiple construction projects.
• Maintain and analyze project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Prepare and review Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules.
• Monitor job costing and track project profitability.
• Partner with project managers to evaluate project performance and financial results.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Review contract billing, change orders, and revenue recognition.
• Support month-end close activities, reconciliations, and project accruals.
• Identify financial risks and provide recommendations to improve project outcomes.
