Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking an Associate, Project Accounting to join our team. This role will perform hands-on job cost accounting for multiple projects, including subcontractor AP processing, client invoicing, and budgeting.

You will work with the Project Management team to ensure direction and support, maintain detailed cost knowledge, and enforce company policies. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2–5 years in construction accounting are preferred; JD Edwards experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 2–5 years Construction or project-related accounting desired.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, able to work independently.
• Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.
• Detail oriented, organized, and disciplined.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and exposure to ERP systems; JD Edwards a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on job cost accounting for multiple projects including Subcontractor AP processing and client invoicing.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of all project costs.
• Collaborate with Project Management to provide direction and support.
• Ensure Project Accounting policies and procedures are communicated and followed.
• Communicate accounting issues promptly and resolve problems.
• Monitor project risks and elevate as needed.
