Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. in Falls Church, VA seeks an experienced Associate, Project Accounting to join our team. This role focuses on hands-on cost accounting across multiple projects, including subcontractor AP, client invoicing, and budgeting, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

We value independence, detail orientation, and strong communication as you partner with Project Management and other teams. A bachelor’s degree and construction accounting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 2–5 years of construction or project-related accounting experience.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, and able to work independently.
• Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment; detail-, rule-, and goal-oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems; JD Edwards experience a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to balance speed with quality of results.

Responsibilities

Job Description

HITT is looking for an experienced Project Accounting Associate to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a strong individual to contribute in a key role within our accounting team.

In accordance with Virginia Senate Bill 215 (SB 215), the base salary range for this position is:

$67,000.00 - $87,000.00

Compensation in other cities and states may vary. HITT Contracting offers a competitive total benefits and compensation package including performance‑based bonuses, premium health care coverage including vision and dental, employer‑matched 401(k), wellness reimbursement program, paid holidays and time‑off, and other voluntary benefits and leave types. The determination of salary is based on the candidate’s individual professional experience, qualifications, education, skills, and training.
