Job summary

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Project Accountant to work out of our Falls Church office. The Project Accountant provides primary accounting and administrative support for construction projects from startup through closeout, serving as the liaison between the job site and finance to ensure SOPs are followed.

Responsibilities include contracts, bonds, insurance, payables, liens, billings, payroll/cost/budget reports for the job site management team; requires an Associate in Accounting

Qualifications

• Associates in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 years of experience preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in basic accounting principles.
• Proficient using a PC and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Handle project accounting from start to closeout.
• Manage subcontractor relationships and payments.
• Oversee project administration activities.
• Support customer relations with project teams.
• Foster culture, leadership and employee development.
• Develop and analyze value management options.
