Job summary

Contegra Construction is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to manage the accounting and financial administration of multiple construction projects while partnering closely with Project Managers, Operations, and our Accounting team.

This role focuses on job costing, owner billing, subcontractor payments, change orders, lien waivers, and maintaining accurate project financials using Vista and Procore to support on-time, audit-ready records and proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in project accounting or construction accounting.
• Experience with Vista/Viewpoint is required.
• Procore experience is preferred.
• Understanding of job costing, owner billing, subcontractor payments, change orders, and lien waivers.

Responsibilities

• Managing accounting and financial administration for multiple construction projects.
• Partnering with Project Managers to maintain accurate project financial information and resolve issues.
• Preparing and processing owner billings and supporting documentation.
• Reviewing and reconciling project costs, invoices, commitments, and financial transactions.
• Assisting with cost reporting, budget reconciliation, forecasting, and financial reviews.
• Maintaining contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and lien waivers.
• Coordinating subcontractor and vendor payments and lien waivers follow-up.
• Maintaining audit-ready project records and working with Vista and Procore for documentation.
