Southland Industries is seeking a Project Accountant to coordinate all phases of construction job costing for a large project and several smaller ones. You will work with the Project Manager to ensure timely and accurate accounting, risk management, and project reporting.

Responsibilities include analyzing costs, processing payables, and maintaining budgets. We offer a robust benefits package and an employee-owned culture that values precision and collaboration.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3–5 years of project accounting experience preferred.
• Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools.

Responsabilidades

• Compiles, prepares and analyzes monthly project billings per contract requirements.
• Performs financial analysis and reconciliation of project costs versus project budget.
• Processes project accounts payable and subcontracts payable.
• Manages vendor compliance, insurance, lien waivers, retention and W-9s.
• Produces and analyzes job performance and profitability through cost tracking reports.
• Assists in status reports and maintains accurate project budgets and COINs data.
• Identifies and resolves project accounting issues in a timely manner.
