Job summary

J2 Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to support cost accuracy, budgeting, and financial reporting across construction projects. The role collaborates with the controller, operations team, and project managers in our Venice, FL office.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of cost accounting experience, with strong skills in Procore, Foundation, and Power BI, plus a solid grasp of WIP analysis and audit reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based industries.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data.
• Experience with Procore, Foundation, and Power BI is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and analyze job costs including labor and direct materials.
• Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts; explain variances.
• Track and report project expenses and revenue with accuracy.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation for relevant accounts.
• Coordinate project billing, including AIA applications and change orders.
• Support process improvements to cut costs and boost profitability.
