Job summary

Addison Group's client in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Project Accountant to coordinate project accounting activities, maintain cost controls, and ensure accurate financial records within construction projects. You will work with Project Managers, Accounting, and other stakeholders to manage invoices, progress tracking, and owner payment applications.

Responsibilities include assisting with budgets, change orders, project closeouts, and monthly profit reporting using ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project accounting activities between Project Managers, Accounting, and stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records and smooth workflows.
• Manage project documentation, subcontractor invoices, progress tracking, and timely owner payment applications.
• Support project budgets, change orders, budget adjustments, and project closeout activities.
• Prepare project reports and compile financial documentation for Accounting, including monthly profit reports and ERP entry.
• Ensure project documentation is complete, cost control issues are addressed, and owner walkthroughs are properly supported.
• Assist with project meetings, reporting, and communication to maintain alignment across project teams.
• Promote compliance with company quality standards and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies while fostering strong team collaboration.
