Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Project Accountant for our Iron Mountain, MI location. The role supports financial management of construction projects and provides accounting assistance to operations.

You will track costs, manage budgets, and work with project managers to deliver timely, accurate forecasts and reporting. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and JDE experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with transferable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• 1–3 years' MJE experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial health of specific projects by tracking costs, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Partner with project managers to provide financial guidance and support.
• Analyze monthly forecast reports for reasonableness and accuracy.
• Investigate revenue and profit variances to ensure proper reporting.
• Enter contracts, budgets, change orders, and purchase orders into JDE.
• Process invoices, payments, and change orders; ensure timely closeouts.
