Job summary

MSS Solutions LLC is seeking a Project Accountant for our Raleigh / Zebulon area to support construction project billing and WIP reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and collaboration with project teams.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of construction accounting experience, a related associate degree, and strong Excel and ERP skills. Occasional travel to regional offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in construction accounting or project billing.
• Associate degree in accounting/finance; bachelor’s preferred.
• Understanding of GAAP and project cost concepts.
• Familiarity with AIA billing, SOV, liens, and change orders.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/project accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit AIA and standard billings per contract.
• Review contracts and billing instructions to meet deadlines.
• Maintain Schedule of Values (SOV) for billings.
• Review change orders and reflect financial impacts.
• Ensure billing packages are complete and auditable.
• Attend project meetings and perform basic project accounting in Vista.
• Follow up on invoices to confirm receipt and payment status.
