Job summary

MSS Solutions LLC is seeking a Project Accountant to manage construction project billing, WIP reporting, and related accounting activities. The role requires diligence, deadline discipline, and strong coordination with project teams.

The successful candidate will track billings, review changes, and ensure complete, well-supported packages for customers and auditors. A background in AIA billing and SOVs is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of related experience in construction accounting, job cost, project billing, or construction project accounting.
• An associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a bachelor's is preferred.
• GAAP understanding and strong organizational skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit AIA and standard billings per contract requirements.
• Review contracts and billing instructions to meet deadlines and required forms.
• Maintain Schedule of Values (SOV) for billings; ensure change orders are reflected.
• Collect lien waivers and supporting documentation for billing packages.
• Meet billing deadlines and audit-ready documentation standards.
• Review WIP reports and costs to support accurate billing.
• Submit billings through customer portals and maintain audit folders.
