Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team supporting a growing southeastern North Carolina construction company. The role emphasizes accurate financial records, month-end close, and monitoring job costs.

The ideal candidate has construction accounting experience with retainage, job costing, WIP reporting, payroll, subcontractors, and percentage-of-completion methods, and will work closely with the CFO and operations team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting and GL processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize deadlines, and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day general accounting activities and month-end close.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Process bank and balance-sheet reconciliations and assist with year-end closing.
