Job summary

Tiello partners with a leading General Contractor in the West Palm Beach, FL area, seeking an experienced Project Accountant to manage billing, subcontractor and project payables, and to track the financial progress of projects through reporting and analysis in line with contractual and compliance guidelines.

The role requires strong Excel and accounting software skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to read legal documents and prepare AIA billings.

Qualifications

• Must have sharp attention to detail and the ability to work in a team.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents and write reports.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word, with experience in project accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Attend turnover meetings for new jobs.
• Set up and maintain project folders with all documents.
• Input contract information, budgets, change orders, POs, and sub mods.
• Prepare project billing worksheet for monthly AIA billings.
• Generate AIA billings to owners.
• Review and approve job-related check requests.
• Process all accounts payable for job-related invoices.
• Review overhead statements for job-related invoices.
