Job summary

Catalyst Construction is seeking a Project Accountant to maintain project-level accounts, process invoices and pay applications, and manage accounts receivable for multiple projects. The role involves reviewing COIs, lien waivers, and insurance certificates, with support for year-end reporting and AP processing.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in accounting, a relevant degree, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office and ComputerEase or similar software.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of accounting or accounts receivable experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to commute as needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite and accounting software such as ComputerEase.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain project level accounts including postings, allocations, accruals, and payments for the project in accounting system.
  • Process Owner Invoices and Pay Applications (AIA and Simple).
  • Deposit and post customer receivable payments.
  • Request and collect subcontractor lien waivers and track for owner payments.
  • Review and report subcontractor COIs for compliance and file certificates.
  • Assist with year-end 1099 reporting and AP expense processing.
  • Maintain project files and provide backup for other positions in the department.
