Ryan Companies US, Inc. in Minneapolis seeks a Construction Project Accountant to support our Mission Critical sector.

This 4-days-per-week, in-office role will handle financial and reporting duties for construction projects, including invoicing, billing, and contract administration, ensuring proper controls with the project team. With over 88 years of experience and 16 offices, Ryan offers comprehensive real estate solutions nationwide.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting and administrative experience in a commercial environment.
• 2 years in the construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or business-related field.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with knowledge of accounting, invoicing, and audit procedures.
• Ability to collaborate within a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, understand, and document working knowledge of each construction project and owner contract requirements.
• Create and administer owner billings to exact schedule and timekeeping requirements.
• Proactive collection of open receivables.
• Perform proactive project cost review and analysis.
• Support Cost Project Manager with monthly financial projections and cost events.
• Develop processes and procedures to meet compliance requirements for owners and authorities.
• Communicate with Project Managers and Director of Construction about requirements.
• Administer prime contractor process including insurance and registration per project.
• Provide internal/external customer assistance and service.
• Address accounting questions or issues promptly.
• Maintain web-based project management system.
• Manage accounting and contract closeout with owner on projects.
