Job summary

gpac in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Project Accountant to support project finance and billing operations. Ideal candidates have 1-3 years of accounting or billing experience, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Construction experience is a plus but not required. The role involves job billings for complex contracts, maintaining master files, and assisting across Accounts Payable, Payroll, and more to support project teams.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounting or billing experience.
• Experience with construction-related billing is a plus.
• Experience with AIA Billings, Schedule of Values, MBE reporting, Lien Waivers and Time and Material billings.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with multiple divisions and locations is preferable.
• Job billings for our more complex customer contracts.
• Reconcile divisional revenue and enter estimates into software.
• Maintain job master files and update contract values as change orders occur.
• Maintain Certificate of Insurance files and oversee Master Subcontract files.
• Answer payment questions from suppliers on pay-when-paid contracts.
• Cross-train to back up Accounts Payable, Billing, Cash Posting, Job Creation, Subcontracts, and Payroll.
