Job summary

Westminster seeks an Accountant to support the project accounting team for multiple development projects in various construction phases. You will perform bank reconciliations, AP coding reviews, and month-end closing tasks, ensuring accurate cost tracking and compliance with policies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with project accounting and property accounting fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• Proficient in Excel with strong analytical skills.
• Experience in project accounting, preferably in commercial real estate development.
• Knowledge of property accounting fundamentals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete weekly bank reconciliations for project accounts.
• Review coding and input of accounts payable at properties, ensuring policy compliance.
• Prepare month-end AP listings and reconcile with trial balance.
• Provide data to Controller for invoices and checks to ensure cash control.
• Handle other A/P related administrative responsibilities.
• Coordinate with construction teams to ensure budget vs expenditures accuracy.
• Coordinate with third-party entities for progress payments to vendors.
• Prepare and assemble draw schedules and packages for management review.
• Ensure accuracy of Job Cost Reports including ACR and Contract Detail Report.
• Reconcile draw requests to GL monthly.
• Review Contracts and Change Orders; enter in Job Cost System.
• Prepare and obtain all lien waivers.
• Monitor construction expenditures against budget.
