Job summary

Westminster is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to support the accounting team and Development Controller on multiple development projects in various construction phases.

Responsibilities include bank reconciliations, accounts payable coding, monthly closing, and draw package preparation. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, 2 years of project accounting experience, and advanced Excel skills. Proficiency with Yardi Construction is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 2 years of experience in project accounting, preferably commercial real estate development.
• Advanced Excel skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete weekly bank reconciliations for project accounts.
• Review coding and input of accounts payable, ensuring policies are followed.
• Prepare accounts payable listing and reconcile to trial balance monthly.
• Provide data to Controller for invoices and checks to maintain cash control.
• Handle other A/P administrative responsibilities.
• Coordinate with construction team to ensure budget vs. expenditures are up to date.
• Prepare draw summaries and draw package for management review, gather documents for audits.
• Reconcile job cost reports including project costs to date.
• Review contracts and change orders; enter in job cost system.
• Prepare and obtain lien waivers.
• Monitor construction expenditures compared to budget.
• Special projects and analyses as required.
