Job summary

Singer Kittredge is seeking a detail-oriented Project Administrator/Accountant to support financial administration and cost control of construction projects. This role reports to the Project Administration Manager and works with Project Managers, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and operations to maintain accurate project financials from setup through closeout.

Key duties include job cost reporting, budget tracking, change order accounting, monthly billing support, retainage and lien waivers,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, Construction Mgmt preferred.
3+ years in project accounting, cost accounting, construction accounting, or related financial experience preferred.
Strong Excel, Word, Outlook; ERP and billing portals experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up new projects and maintain accurate job control, kickoff, contract, and customer information in company systems.
Review contracts and AIA documents for billing terms, retainage, insurance, bonding, prevailing wage, lien waiver, and other financial/compliance requirements.
Monitor budgets, commitments, change orders, and cost reporting; identify variances and project risks.
Prepare and support monthly project cost reports, budget-to-actual analysis, and cost-to-complete reviews.
Coordinate with Project Managers to review financial status and forecast remaining costs.
