Job summary

Kinsley Construction is seeking a Project Accountant to manage accounting and administrative duties for assigned projects, including invoicing, job cost comparisons, and change order preparation.

The successful candidate will have 2-4 years post-secondary degree, accounting experience in construction, strong computer skills (Office and Viewpoint), and the ability to work with Project Managers to keep costs on track.

Qualifications

• Prior accounting experience, construction accounting preferred.
• Post-secondary degree (2-4 year) preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Viewpoint.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing and payment processing for projects.
• Track budget vs. job cost and prepare reports.
• Prepare subcontract/purchase orders with compliance.
• Support PM teams to ensure profitable projects.
• Process weekly certified payroll on prevailing wage projects.
• Communicate effectively with PMs and Principals regarding billing.
