Job summary

One Federal Solution is seeking a Construction Program Manager I to oversee single or multiple construction projects from inception to close-out, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, safety regulations, and applicable building codes.

The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and quality while serving as a liaison between DOS, contractors, and local authorities.

Qualifications

• PMP certification required or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• 3+ years of specialized vertical construction project experience in the last 10 years.
• Experience reviewing drawings and verifying plans/specifications for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction project management for a program or multiple projects from planning through completion.
• Maintain dialogue with DOS stakeholders, addressing schedule, cost, conflicts, performance, quality, and other project concerns.
• Review, verify drawings, plans, and specifications for compliance; recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain updated project schedules, including government activities, throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare independent cost estimates and monitor ongoing construction work to ensure compliance with contract specs and safety rules.
• Act as liaison between contractors, DOS stakeholders, local authorities, and others to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with Facilities Management to minimize impact on other facilities and tenants on site.
• Conduct daily inspections, document progress, and report issues to management.
• Coordinate with on-site Diplomatic Security to facilitate contractor access.
