Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support EPC/CM projects from pre-construction through warranty periods. You will lead safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, and field staffing to deliver complex construction and program management initiatives.

You will develop client relationships, manage risk, oversee permits, RFPs, invoicing, and project documentation while mentoring interns and coordinating cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and 7 years relevant project management experience in the construction industry required.
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to meet the company's driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and the execution of one or multiple projects.
• Develop client relationships and interface with client for proposals and project items.
• Negotiate contracts, manage risks, and oversee reporting including budgeting, cash flow, and status reports.
• Mentor interns and junior staff; manage staffing and craft supervision.
• Ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost controls are maintained across projects.
