Job summary

ARCO is seeking a Project Manager Intern to join our Orlando, FL team. You will assist Project Managers with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, shop drawing reviews, billing, and site visits, gaining hands-on experience in a design-build environment.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0 on 4.0 scale minimum.
• Current internship or co-op construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Estimating – describe project proposals and assign dollar values.
• Scheduling – create a timeline for subcontractors to complete the project on time.
• Design meetings – attend meetings with owner and team to understand design professionals.
• Buyout – issue bid instructions, schedule and drawings to subs; evaluate and award subcontracts.
• Permitting – fill out permits and submit for city/county approvals.
• Shop drawing/submittal review – review and communicate next steps to subcontractors.
• Billing – manage subcontracts, change orders, pay requests and pay applications.
• Job site visits – accompany PM to ensure project progression.
