Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies in Tampa, FL is seeking a motivated Project Manager Intern to support our project teams. You will gain hands-on experience assisting with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, submittals, billing, and site visits.

You'll work under experienced project managers, receiving tools and guidance from day one to build a solid foundation for a career in construction management.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor's degree program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Previous internship or co-op construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with estimating project proposals and dollar values.
• Create a working timeline for subcontractors to complete projects on time.
• Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand design processes.
• Send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors and evaluate proposals.
• Fill out permit forms and submit with drawings and fees for approval.
• Review shop drawings and submittals with PM and order materials as needed.
• Assist with subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
• Visit job sites with PM to ensure projects run smoothly.
