Job summary

ARCO is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager Intern in Orlando, FL. You will assist project managers with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, shop drawing reviews, billing, and site visits to ensure projects run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program
• Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0
• Previous Internship or Co-op construction experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Estimating project proposals and assigning dollar values
• Scheduling a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time
• Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand design pro structural engineers and architects
• Send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors; evaluate proposals and award subcontracts
• Fill out permit forms, submit with drawings and fees, and await city/county/fire approval
• Receive shop drawings or submittals; coordinate with PM and subcontractor for ordering material
• Manage subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications
• Visit job site with PM to ensure project runs smoothly
