Job summary

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team in Washington. The ideal candidate will lead large-scale construction projects, manage budgets, schedules, and scope, and build strong client relationships.

Responsibilities include cost control, schedule management, QA, procurement of design professionals and contractors, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible related experience, which includes managing multi-million dollar construction projects.
• Experience should also include managing A/E (design) consultant services and construction administration.
• Must have been in a position, which demonstrates independent decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of estimating, scheduling and cost control.
• RFI tracking, contract document control, forecast scheduling and costs, preparation of change order review, and review of payments.
• Ability to be proactive and develop and maintain positive relationships.
• Prepares cash flow projections and monitors financial performance.
• Ensures all jurisdictional approvals are obtained and codes/standards are met.
• Pursues punch list and project closeout activities to timely completion.
• Provides cost control, schedule management and quality assurance from design through closeout.
• Anticipates problems and identifies alternative solutions.
• Maintains project records and reports; uses automated project management system.
• Leads the project team and coordinates technical staff and consultants.
• Works with client representatives daily.
• Administers procurement of design professionals and contractors, including scope development and negotiating fees.
• Maintains records; SOX control responsibilities may apply.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management or related field

Five years of progressively responsible related experience

Experience managing A/E (design) consultant services and construction administration

Independent decision-making experience
