Skyline Construction in San Francisco or San Jose is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for 400+ employees across multiple states. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws, process union payroll, and handle certified payroll reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, an associate degree, proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Vista by Viewpoint, Foundation, Sage, UKG, ADP), and knowledge of prevailing wage regulations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll processing experience.
• Construction industry payroll experience preferred.
• Experience with 300+ employees.
• Knowledge of certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting a plus.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for ~400 employees.
• Audit timecards, labor allocations, and job costing for accuracy.
• Handle payroll adjustments including bonuses and garnishments.
• Prepare payroll reports and wage deductions.
• Ensure compliance with wage laws and Davis-Bacon requirements where applicable.
• Process union payroll and related reporting, if applicable.
• Reconcile payroll and ensure timely tax payments and reporting.
• Assist with audits and respond to employee payroll inquiries.
