LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a reputable construction industry organization on the north side of Cincinnati, Ohio to identify an experienced Certified Payroll Specialist for a contract opportunity. This position will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing in a fast-paced, multi-state construction environment. The assignment is expected to begin as a contract role with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance.
Process and prepare certified payroll reports for construction projects while ensuring compliance with applicable wage and reporting requirements
Support payroll administration for a large employee population of 1,000+ employees across multiple states
Review and validate employee hours, job classifications, wage rates, deductions, and payroll adjustments for accuracy
Maintain payroll records and assist with audits, reporting requests, and compliance documentation
Collaborate with internal teams including payroll, accounting, HR, and project management to resolve payroll-related issues and ensure timely processing
Minimum of 2 years of certified payroll experience required
Previous construction payroll experience required
Experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees
Multi-state payroll experience required
Strong understanding of payroll compliance, wage reporting, and payroll regulations
Experience with union payroll is highly preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Pay Details: $25.00 to $32.00 per hour
