AppleOne Employment Services is assisting an industrial construction contractor near Prairie View, TX in hiring a Payroll Specialist with construction payroll experience. This full-time role handles weekly payroll, deductions, and 401(k) management, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have construction payroll experience (weekly, project-based, cost codes)
• Ideally 8+ years of relevant experience
• Full-cycle payroll including deductions and retirement contributions
• Payroll tax deposits and quarterly reporting (941), ACH/direct deposit files
• Strong Excel and reconciliation skills

Responsabilités

• Collects and audits field timesheets; verifies hours, overtime, job numbers and cost codes; reconciles against job-hours reports
• Enter hours, overtime, PTO, travel pay and per diem in Foundation Software
• Processes new hires, terminations, rate changes, W-4 and direct deposit updates
• Administers deductions: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) (weekly Fidelity uploads), child support and other garnishments
• Prepares checks and ACH direct deposit files, makes federal tax deposits (EFTPS) and prepares quarterly Form 941
• Reconciles payroll registers, deductions and general ledger reports; keeps audit-ready records

Industrial construction contractor with new office near Prairie View is seeking an accomplished full-cycle Payroll Specialist with construction experience to join their team. JOB OVERVIEW

• Collects and audits field timesheets; verifies hours, overtime, job numbers and cost codes; reconciles against job-hours reports
