Job summary

Holland Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist to manage weekly union payroll, payroll reporting, and AP duties.

The role supports accounting functions by processing invoices for payment and interacting with Owners, subcontractors, and employees. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in construction payroll/accounts payable, experience with benefits and union requirements, and strong organization to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with employee benefits, fringe benefits, union dues, certified payroll.
• Experience with accounts payable and general accounting skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly union payroll and routine payroll tasks.
• Verify union class and rates current.
• Create and distribute Certified Payroll reports per project requirements.
• Remit weekly and monthly union fringes and assist with audits.
• Process child support, garnishments, per diem and travel reimbursements.
• Resolve payroll issues and respond to payroll questions from employees.
• Process vendor invoices and route for approval; ensure payments by due date.
