Job summary

Sea Island Land Development in Ravenel, SC, a growing sitework and land development firm, seeks an experienced Payroll Analyst to own payroll accuracy, compliance and reporting for our expanding team.

You will manage full-cycle weekly payroll for field and office staff, reconcile two systems, coordinate audits, prepare W-2s and 941s, and support open enrollment while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll management experience, ideally in construction or industrial settings.
• Expert user of payroll software (e.g., BambooHR) or able to learn quickly.
• Experience reconciling payroll between HRIS and ERP/accounting systems.
• Comfortable owning workers' comp/GL audits and serving as main contact with auditors.
• Working knowledge of multi-state payroll tax compliance and W-2/ W-2c corrections.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle weekly payroll for field and office staff, ensuring accuracy before pay day.
• Manage garnishments, off-cycle pay runs, terminations, and direct deposit/ACH setup.
• Register and maintain state withholding and unemployment tax accounts as needed.
• Prepare W-2s and W-2c corrections; submit certified payroll reports when required.
• Oversee workers' compensation and GL insurance premium audits from start to finish.
• Reconcile payroll deductions with benefits elections and support open enrollment.
