Job summary

Con Edison is seeking a Construction Technical Review Specialist to review and process contractor payments for Electric, Gas, and Steam distribution projects. You will interpret contract terms, validate payments with supporting documentation, and maintain rigorous records for audits.

Collaborating with field inspectors, project managers, and supervisors, you will ensure compliance with contract requirements while supporting process improvements.

Qualifications

• Education/experience options listed: HS diploma with 5+ years, or Associate's with 4+, or Bachelor's with 3+ years.
• Knowledge of contract administration and payment processes preferred.
• Experience in construction or utility environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contractor Payment Processing: Review and process contractor payments per contracts and procedures.
• Contract Interpretation: Apply contract terms and special conditions to payments.
• Payment Validation: Review supporting docs to validate vendor payments.
• Record Keeping: Maintain audit-ready records.
• Compliance Monitoring: Stay updated on rules and specs for contract administration.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with field staff to resolve payment discrepancies.
• Process Improvement: Support efficiency initiatives in payment processes.
