Job summary

Con Edison is seeking a Senior Construction Specialist to lead development of bid packages, field support, and multidisciplinary construction activities. The role focuses on safety, environmental compliance, and on-time project delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams and external contractors.

Ideal candidates bring extensive field construction management experience, strong problem-solving and leadership abilities, and a track record of managing complex projects within budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Experience in field construction, construction management, project management or site supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, safety, and environmental practices.
• Ability to review and interpret plans, specs, and contracts.
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and departments.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company policies and environmental compliance during all construction activities.
• Provide environmental health and safety input and coordinate permit requirements.
• Review 100% package drawings and specifications for constructability with project team.
• Develop and maintain high-level project milestone schedules and cost tracking.
• Coordinate bid packages, field surveys, RFIs and submittals with internal and external teams.
• Support field execution with weekly updates, turnover, and closeout requirements.
