Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York is seeking a Clean Energy Senior Specialist to review energy efficiency projects and guide implementation. You will assess technical data, ensure code compliance, and advise on incentive eligibility for prescriptive and custom paths.

This role collaborates with internal teams and customers, develops energy savings tools, and participates in meetings with stakeholders, driving technology adoption and program quality across major projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and minimum 3 years' work experience in engineering or energy efficiency.
• Familiarity with NYS Technical Resource Manual (TRM) and energy codes (ASHRAE, IECC).
• Proficiency in energy modeling, bin analysis and complex calculations.
• Strong knowledge of building envelope and building systems (HVAC, motors/VFDs, BMS).
• Experience with technical reviews and energy analyses of projects.
• Experience with project management and coordinating across stakeholders.
• Experience with complex energy modeling software (listed).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive technical reviews of complex energy efficiency and demand management projects.
• Prepare reports detailing technical reviews and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to provide technical guidance.
• Advise customers on incentive eligibility and technical requirements for prescriptive and custom paths.
• Participate in meetings with project teams, contractors, stakeholders, and engineers.
• Review and approve M&V reports for large, complex energy efficiency projects.
• Develop and refine Excel-based program energy savings tools (e.g., BAS calculator).
• Conduct site visits to verify equipment installation and operation parameters.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies for program evolution and adoption feasibility.
• Work with QA/QC to address discrepancies and improve programs.
• Perform other engineering tasks to support the Energy Efficiency team.
• Guide engineering staff augmentees and support professional development.
• Lead development of new engineering processes and continuous workflow improvements.
