Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York is seeking a Construction Technical Review Specialist to review and process contractor payments for projects managed by the Construction organization, with a focus on subsurface facilities across electric, gas, and steam systems.

You will interpret contracts, validate payment items against field notes and documentation, maintain accurate audit-ready records, and collaborate with inspectors, construction representatives and managers to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED with 5+ years experience, or an Associate with 4+, or a Bachelor's with 3+ years.
• Knowledge of contract administration and construction payment processes.
• Experience with purchase orders and contractor payments preferred.
• Familiarity with street opening tickets, permits, and utility layouts preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn Maximo, CworX, Oracle, and Smart App.

Responsibilities

• Review and process contractor payments in accordance with contracts and company procedures.
• Interpret and apply contract terms and specifications to ensure accurate payments.
• Validate payment items, field notes, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain detailed records for audits and retention.
• Monitor compliance with applicable rules and regulations for contract administration.
• Collaborate with field employees to resolve payment discrepancies.
• Support process improvements related to contractor payment processes.
• Perform other related tasks as required.
