Job summary

Optimum is seeking a Construction Operations Lead to coordinate the development, implementation, construction and documentation of new telecom construction projects in Bryan, TX. You will oversee pre-fielding, planning, scheduling and supervise subcontractor and in-house teams to meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong coordination with multiple departments, authorities, and vendors, plus the ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all phases of cable system construction.
• Knowledge of CATV Plant Design.
• Minimum of five years construction experience.
• Minimum of two years' experience with MDU design and builds.
• Minimum of three years' manager / supervisor experience.
• Knowledge of applicable safety regulations.
• Planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan construction with departments, utility companies, builders, and authorities.
• Direct construction activities of subcontractors and in-house crews including MDU and plant projects.
• Conduct job site quality inspections for compliance with codes and standards.
• Supervise staff, estimate workloads, and set priorities to meet deadlines.
• Provide performance feedback and mentoring to direct reports.
