Our client, a family-owned remodeling business focused on multifamily community upgrades, seeks a dynamic Construction Operations Director to propel the company forward by refining its operational framework. Based in Warminster, PA, this pivotal role involves steering daily activities, supervising teams and subcontractors, guaranteeing exceptional project outcomes, and fueling company expansion. The position demands a seasoned leader with a knack for operations and a dedication to excellence in home renovation services.
This role combines responsibilities as both Operations Director and HR Lead, tasked with shaping a structured management system while managing day-to-day operations and personnel functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate across departments (sales, operations, and administrative staff)
- Act as the primary liaison for clients, addressing their needs and exceeding expectations
- Enhance efficiency and service quality by developing and enforcing operational policies
- Support business development by aiding in lead generation and sales strategy creation
- Oversee office administration and daily operational workflows
- Use project management tools to monitor progress and maintain detailed records
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations
- Drive business growth by contributing to expansion strategies and marketing initiatives
- Manage project budgets and profitability, optimizing processes as needed
- Address client issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction throughout projects
- Build and refine formal business processes and systems
- Oversee employee relations and resolve workplace concerns
- Administer benefits packages, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
- Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulatory standards
- Manage hiring, onboarding, training, and employee performance reviews
- Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure compliance with documentation needs
- Establish and oversee structured HR processes and systems
- Conduct regular staff performance assessments
Requirements
- Exceptional leadership and organizational capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Business Administration, or a similar discipline
- Background in the construction or remodeling sector
- Proficiency in HR practices and personnel management
- 5+ years in a leadership role, ideally with general management experience
- Ability to collaborate effectively with varied teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in creating and implementing business systems
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Familiarity with multifamily renovation projects
