Pay: $115,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday – Weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities of the Construction Operations Director include:
Administration & Planning:
- Collaborate with President, Vice President, and CFO to review budgets, WIP statements, department performance, and growth planning.
- Monitor the construction industry to stay current with trends, labor, markets, technologies, and competition. Forecast workforce capacity shortages and surpluses based on seasons and schedules, and adjust accordingly.
- Partner with HR to ensure accurate record keeping (JLA badging, timekeeping, etc.), licensing, and credentialing of staff to ensure compliance and current certifications.
Estimating and Sales:
- Review pre-construction estimates for accuracy and variance, collaborating with the Chief Estimator.
- Control labor and material costs by ensuring standards are met in staffing, compensation, overtime, safety, quality, productivity, inventory, purchasing, and usage.
- Work with accounting to ensure projects are completed, invoiced, closed, and collected within required time frames.
Service and Support:
- Maintain high levels of mechanical expertise by staying current on trade-specific developments and innovations. Establish departmental standards of performance, processes, and procedures.
- Develop and implement a departmental quality assurance and improvement program, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and departmental standards.
- Coordinate with Fleet to ensure company vehicles are well maintained through ongoing inspections and reporting.
People & Safety:
- Work closely with HR to recruit, onboard, and develop construction staff.
- Oversee, direct, and support construction management staff.
- Conduct 90-day, 6-month, and annual reviews of direct reports.
- Ensure all staff understand their roles and standards, providing counseling as necessary.
Qualified candidates will have:
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent; College Degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience.
- Ability to perform takeoffs and read construction blueprints and estimates.
- Ability to analyze data and act accordingly.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work well with others.
- Effective time management and task-switching skills; quick learner.
- PC computer skills.
- Understanding of financial statements, including WIP's.
- Valid driver's license.
