Job summary

Indiana Department Of Transportation (INDOT) Crawfordsville District is seeking an experienced Construction Office Engineer to lead engineering operations, supervise Area Engineers, Project Engineers, and project staff, and ensure contract compliance. • Registered Professional Engineers license in Indiana is required.
• Must possess a valid Indiana driver's license.
• Broad knowledge of civil/transportation disciplines and CAD, spreadsheets, databases, scheduling.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering plans and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering policies and plan projects with major organizational impact.
• Provide budgetary information, conduct research and support long-range planning.
• Evaluate policies, recommend revisions and implement changes.
• Assess policy impacts statewide and coordinate with teams; provide leadership in construction activities.
