Job summary

Robert B. Our Company, Inc invites applications for a Mechanic to join our team on Cape Cod. You will work on both vehicles and heavy equipment to support public and private construction projects, aiming to minimize downtime and ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role generally operates in the shop with occasional field visits to active sites. Requires at least two years in construction/heavy equipment, a high school diploma, and familiarity with diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction or heavy equipment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose using diagnostic tools and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cars and medium duty trucks and expand skills to heavy equipment.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance.
• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Operate welders and assemble/disassemble heavy equipment as needed.
• Plan work with supervisor and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Communicate project status and collaborate with site supervisors.
