Job summary

Terracon in Jacksonville, FL seeks a field technician to perform material testing and observation on construction sites. You will collect soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel samples, document results, and support Project Managers with data submission.

Under supervision you will build experience toward greater responsibility, maintain safety standards, and advance certifications such as Nuclear Density Gauge and ACI as required by the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience required.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate with project team regarding requirements and results.
• Transport samples to the laboratory and prepare data/ reports for submittal.
• Maintain equipment and safety standards on site.
• Support scheduling and dispatch of technicians as needed.
• Follow safety rules and maintain quality standards on all projects.
