Qualifications

• 0 years of related experience
• Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Certifications must be completed within the stated introductory periods (Radiation Safety, Soils I, Concrete I)
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and organized work ethic
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Follow directions and work under supervision
• Basic problem-solving and observational skills
• Willingness to work in outdoor environments and field conditions
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds repeatedly

Responsibilities

• Assists with construction materials observation and testing activities in field and lab
• Observes and participates in testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials
• Documents site conditions and testing results in field reports
• Assists with preparing and organizing field and laboratory equipment
• Performs basic data entry, calculations, and data reduction
• Communicates with field staff, contractors, and project team members
• Keeps supervisors informed of changing site conditions or testing needs
• Assists with reviewing laboratory results and supporting project documentation
• Supports laboratory testing activities including sample preparation, curing, and testing
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of field and lab work areas
• Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment
• Attends project meetings with senior staff
• Performs other duties as assigned
