Job summary

Qualifications

• 90 days of related experience.
• At least one internship with ECS or another firm.
• Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master in Civil Engineering or related field.
• One certification must be completed within 90 days; basic certifications due within 270 days including Radiation Safety, Soils I, Concrete I.
• If driving for ECS, a valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to read plans, follow directions, and interpret construction documents.
• Proficiency with electronic devices and data entry tools.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and lift required equipment.
• Must lift a minimum of 85 pounds multiple times daily.

Responsibilities

• Performs field and laboratory testing with guidance from senior staff.
• Documents field conditions and testing results in field reports.
• Assists in preparation and maintenance of field and lab equipment.
• Performs basic calculations, data reduction, and data entry.
• Communicates with contractors and project teams regarding testing activities.
• Notifies supervisors of changes in site conditions or issues.
• Supports lab testing, including sample prep, curing, and testing procedures.
• Maintains organized field and lab work environments.
• Participates in project-related meetings and coordination activities.
• Assists with reviewing lab results and project documentation.
