Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Intern Level I. The role observes and begins routine field and laboratory testing activities under supervision, gaining familiarity with soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials.

You will assist with data collection, documentation, and project workflows while developing foundational technical skills. Ideal candidates are pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master in Civil Engineering or related fields, and must complete

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Completion of Radiation Safety, Soils I and Concrete I within specified timeframes.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS subsidiary.
• Clear communication and reliable, organized work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Observe and perform routine field and lab testing tasks.
• Assist with data collection, documentation, and testing activities.
• Document site conditions and testing results in field reports.
• Prepare and organize field/lab equipment.
• Support with sample preparation, curing, and testing in the lab.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Attend project meetings with senior staff as requested.
• Notify supervisors of equipment issues or testing needs.
