Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Intern Level I in Chesapeake, VA. The role focuses on assisting with field and laboratory testing for soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.

You will document results, prepare equipment, and gain exposure to ECS project workflows under close supervision. Preferred candidates are pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master in Civil Engineering or a related field, with strong communication and teamwork skills,

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate, bachelor, or master degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills and reliability.
• Willingness to perform field and laboratory tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
• Document site conditions and test results in field reports.
• Prepare and organize field and lab equipment; perform data entry and basic calculations.
• Assist with reviewing laboratory results and project documentation.
• Attend project meetings as needed and communicate with team members.
