Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Intern Level 2 to support field and laboratory testing tasks on diverse projects. You will grow from guided tasks to performing data collection, documentation, and testing with increasing independence.

You will work with soil, concrete, and asphalt testing, while developing knowledge of construction practices, testing standards, and project workflows. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• One internship with ECS or another firm is required.
• At least 90 days of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs field observation and testing with guidance from senior staff.
• Tests soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials with growing independence.
• Documents field conditions and results in field reports.
• Maintains field and lab equipment and organization.
• Performs basic calculations, data reduction, and data entry.
• Communicates with contractors and project teams about testing activities.
