Job summary

S&ME, Inc. is hiring a Construction Materials Project Manager in Myrtle Beach, SC. You will lead CMT and Special Inspection projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and compliance while mentoring field and engineering staff.

The role emphasizes client development, coordination with contractors, and delivering thorough project documentation with adherence to IBC and industry standards. A PE is preferred; EIT is required. This is a full-time on-site position with safety and regulatory focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or related engineering field.
• 4+ years of professional experience; 2+ years in a project management role.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or obtainable in future.
• Strong knowledge of ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, DOT standards and IBC inspections.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Direct CMT and Special Inspection projects from initiation to completion.
• Manage budgets, schedules, staffing, and technical activities to meet specs and codes.
• Engage clients and contractors through meetings and site visits to align expectations.
• Oversee inspection services, review field records, and coach staff for quality.
• Prepare project reports, proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
